Fundamentals of Human Body Science Short Course:
This is the theoretical entry platform to
most fitness courses. This course covers the theory and
practical aspects of anatomy, physiology, injuries and nutrition.
Assessment is by means of a multiple choice question
exam done online. |

Personal Training Short
Course:
This course has specifically been developed for learners that are considering a career path in Personal Training (i.e. as a ‘one-on-one’ fitness professional). The course has an initial theory-driven component which flows seamlessly into a second component which is more practically driven. The first phase is the Fundamentals of Health and Body Science. This is also a stand-alone entry platform qualification for the Wellness Industry and is recognised by the major health club service providers as their minimal requirement. This component is assessed by means of an online Multiple Choice Question assessment. Both components are directly aligned to the prescribed textbook – NSCA’s Essentials of Personal Training. At the end of the course, a simulated practical assessment is scheduled, which is conducted on each learner’s pre-submitted case study. A minimum Due Performance in both assessments is required in order to qualify for this be awarded this qualification. |
